Company Description
Searcys are looking for a Sandwich Chef to be an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of the new café opening at Church House. We're looking for a Sandwich Chef who shares our love for great food, outstanding customer service, thrives in a busy kitchen and has a keen eye for detail to work on our handcrafted sandwiches and freshly baked pastries both sweet and savoury.
Located in Westminster, Church House is a Grade II listed, multi-purpose event venue set across three floors and is home to 19 meeting and conference spaces. Part of The Corporation of Church House charity, first established in 1888, the venue is steeped in history with a rich heritage and notable links to royalty and parliament.

Job Description
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £18.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, quiches and desserts
- Leadership of the junior kitchen team members, including skills development
- To prepare a detailed handover with a full list of mis-en-place at the end of the shift
- To manage your section with pride and undertake all tasks diligently
- To comply with all Company and client policies, procedures and statutory regulations
- Waste management
- Ensure all team members are trained on all aspects of the menu, equipment and procedures.
Qualifications
- Production experience (desirable)
- Excellent standards and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Very well organised and ability to prioritise workload
- Strong communication skills
