Job Description:
- Delivery of ingredients, packaging, ready to eat products and consumable items to customers operational sites in accordance with the planned delivery schedule.
- To comply with all security, and H&S requirements at customer sites.
- Ensure cleanliness of vehicle before commencing deliveries and record condition of the vehicle on the appropriate paperwork within required timescales.
- Ensure vehicle refrigeration equipment is always working correctly and record the vehicle temperature when loading and at all delivery locations.
- Assist the Goods in Team where necessary.
- Ensure all items are loaded in good condition and safely secured in the vehicle before commencing the delivery round.
- Carry out before and after use checks in line with operational procedures.
- Complete defect reporting and driver run sheets as and when required.
- Report all accidents, near misses, incidents and damage to vehicles, property, and street furniture.
- Drop off and collect vehicles from various workshops and garages when required.
- Ensure all delivery documentation including sales invoices (when relevant) accompany with each delivery run.
- Check the product/vehicle temperature at the point of each delivery and record on the delivery documentation.
- Copies of refrigeration temperatures records to be handed over at the time of delivery.
- Ensure customer signs for goods delivered in good condition or any issues recorded on the copy of delivery note returned to the distribution centre.
- Inform company of any issues during each delivery round as soon as is reasonably practical.
- Collect and return any reusable transit packaging such as plastics trays for cleaning and sanitisation at the distribution centre.
- Pass on any feedback from customers as soon as is reasonably practical.
- Consistently adopt ways of work in accordance with our zero-harm culture.
