Full Time Waiting Staff in Newbury

The Boxford, nestled 10 minutes from Newbury, is built on a site that was formerly occupied by ‘The Bell Inn’, a rural roadside inn that captured passing trade on the road to Newbury. What was then a Victorian public house and 1980s annex was turned into a modern and welcoming new restaurant in 2023. An all-day family-friendly dining and drinks destination that specialises in fresh Mediterranean cuisine and artisanal sourdough pizzas in the scenic Berkshire countryside.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Waiter /Waitress to join our team and play a key role in creating a wonderful dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Exceptional Service: Provide attentive and personalised service to ensure a flawless dining experience for our guests.
• Menu Knowledge: Know our menu well, including ingredients and cooking techniques, to help guests with their choices.
• Presentation: Serve dishes with style, pour wine accurately, and create memorable dining moments.
• Teamwork: Work well with your colleagues to ensure a smooth service.
• Upselling: Recommend featured items, drinks, and wine pairings to enhance guests' experiences.
• Stay Cool: Handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally, referring them to the line manager if necessary.

Qualifications

• Leaving Cert level education or above NVQ qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to display a real passion for food, beverage, and customer service.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Hands-on and proactive approach.
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
