Step into a role where no two days look the same. We’re looking for a polished, proactive, and highly organised Front of House Receptionist / Building Manager to take ownership of the daily running of a multi-tenanted commercial building in the heart of London. This is a position that blends first-class front of house service with hands-on building management. You’ll be the face of the building, the go-to contact for tenants, and the driving force behind smooth operations, safety, and service excellence.

What you’ll be doing

  • Front of House & Tenant Experience
    • Deliver a warm, professional welcome to tenants and visitors
    • Manage reception operations, visitor access, and a secure, polished front of house environment
    • Build strong relationships with tenants and support them with day-to-day queries
  • Building Operations
    • Oversee the daily running of a multi-tenanted office building
    • Conduct daily building inspections, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards are met
    • Work closely with the Regional Facilities Manager to maintain high operational performance
  • Contractor & Maintenance Coordination
    • Manage contractor attendance, ensuring permits, RAMS, and compliance are in place
    • Track maintenance issues through the helpdesk/CAFM system and ensure timely resolution
    • Sign off completed works and monitor contractor performance
  • Security & Compliance
    • Oversee access control systems and issue access cards
    • Monitor CCTV functionality and report concerns
    • Act as Fire Coordinator during evacuations and support fire alarm testing
    • Maintain health & safety documentation and report hazards or incidents
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Keep accurate records of building activity, maintenance, and contractor visits
    • Support reporting requirements for the Regional Facilities Manager

Hours: 45 hrs per week, shifts from 8am-6pm, Mon-Fri

Salary: £35,000

Qualifications

  • Experience in reception, facilities, or building management within a commercial environment
  • Confidence working in a multi-tenanted setting
  • Knowledge of contractor coordination, maintenance processes, and security systems
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and fire procedures
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, reliable, and detail-driven approach
