Job Description
We are looking for a talented and ambitious chef ready for a change or to take the next step into their first Head Chef position. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, eager to lead a team, and looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing hospitality business. You won’t be doing it alone — the successful candidate will be supported by an experienced network of senior and Executive Chefs from across the wider Benugo business.
As Head Chef, you will take ownership of the day-to-day kitchen operation, driving standards, developing the team, and helping shape the food offering at 1864 Rooftop Bar and Kitchen.
We Offer:
- Rate: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + very generous Tronc
- Shifts: Any 5 days out of 7
- Contract: Full Time/ Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during daily service and events
- Deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Support seasonal menu development and specials
- Manage stock, ordering, GP, and kitchen labour controls
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
- Recruit, train, and develop junior chefs
- Work collaboratively with the wider operations and senior chef teams
- Help build a positive, professional, and energetic kitchen culture
About You
- Currently working as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fresh-food environment
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Passionate about quality food and hospitality
- Organised, calm under pressure, and commercially aware
- Keen to learn, develop, and grow within a larger business
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen compliance
