Are you a visionary hospitality leader ready to shape an iconic partnership at the highest level? We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to support the catering and hospitality strategy for a prestigious, high-profile collaboration that will set new standards for excellence, innovation, and guest experience over the summer, traveling between both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Job Description: You will be responsible for leading, managing, developing and implementing growth strategies. These responsibilities will be a wide spectrum of tasks ranging from sales strategies, recruitment, training, overseeing the food quality and service, as well as having a presence on the floor.

  • Commercial: Taking responsibility for the business performance at the location delivering company forecast and yearly targets. To analyse and drive profitable sales whilst constantly improving standards. To organise marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
  • People Management: Offer clear directions and briefings to the team. To offer effective feedback on performance through structured reviews. To recruit the best team members for the location.
  • Client Service: To build and maintain a solid and professional relationship with John Lewis. To ensure effective communication and engagement with John Lewis. To regularly monitor customer feedback and produce a suitable action plan based on the results.
  • Health & Safety, Food Safety and ESG: To ensure the location achieves a minimum score of 90% on European Safety Bureau and 5* scores on EHO visits. To ensure the location meets statutory and Company requirements of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar retail role. Barista experience (advantageous). Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment, whilst working well under pressure. Highly developed attention to detail and record keeping. Passion for hospitality and delivering a great guest experience. Great team player. Leads by example and takes initiative. Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-based perspective.
