You will lead the team with respect and be a positive role model ensuring all standards are met and delivered in a timely and professional manner at all times.
You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.
Our mission is simple: To provide our teams with the right skills to succeed in their jobs, we invest in their training and development. Our exceptional teams of seasoned specialists customise our catering services to fit children of all ages and satisfy the unique needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring smooth service across both service areas
- Lead and motivate staff to maintain high service standards and client and manager satisfaction
- Handle manager queries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and discretion
- Ensure the department maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Support the management team in implementing policies and enhancing service offerings
- Oversee events and private functions as required
- Serve Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to our wonderful students, staff and guests 7 days a week
The best part is that approximately every 3rd weekend we have completely off, so planning social events throughout the year is great. Weekends are also a little quieter than during the week, but we have amazing Saturday sports days. We are closed over the Christmas and New Year period, just more time with family and friends. Another selling point is free meals while on duty, full uniform is provided, and if you feel active, access to the onsite gym at a very reduced cost, that will be as little as only £5 per month after successfully completing your probation period! Also, Free car parking, 28 Days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays (we have every long weekend off). Pension scheme and career development opportunities.
In return we only ask you to be flexible in your working approach as it will be a 5 out of 7 day position, 40 working hours per week. Having a full driving licence and use of your own vehicle will be advantageous to being successful in being employed as the public transport links and timings for the role are not aligned.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supervising a small team of Kitchen Porters to ensure high standards are met at all times
