Benugo are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join the team at our unique venue at The Savill Garden. The Savill Garden Kitchen, Great Windsor Park, includes a large and energetic restaurant and café. We serve a seasonal menu with British classics from locally sourced ingredients in the restaurant, as well as a range of freshly made sandwiches, cakes, and carbon neutral coffee in the cafés. The venue is open 7 days per week, daytime only. Shifts range from 8am to 6pm.

Working as a Junior Sous Chef for Benugo will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will support the Sous/Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the venue and act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To prepare food to a high standard in any area required by the senior chefs
  • To assist in any extra functions
  • To provide a consistently high standard for functions and different dining areas
  • To manage the Client Dining, hospitality, and conference food offers when requested by senior chefs
  • To assist in the training of junior staff
  • To ensure smooth running of daily operations
  • Hygiene and personal hygiene checks
  • Staff food standards
  • To ensure all Health, Hygiene, and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Benugo Health & Safety Policy

Qualifications:

  • Very well organised and ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in working in a star hotel or restaurant is desirable
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
