Job Description:
Projected Annual Turnover in year 1 of circa £1.5m with overall responsibility for a team of 20+
Operating a fully commercial contract (Nil cost, with step concession) - Restaurant and Coffee Shop; Internal and External hospitality, inclusive of fine dining, services and delivering catering provision for Internal and External conferences and Events. Client team will be running/selling the event space, and you will be required to work in collaboration with our client to grow business activity. Event space includes 500 seat concert hall and 250 seat Theatre and Cinema. Bar service operation, to be run in conjunction with Hospitality, Events and conference requirements.
Develop and execute catering strategies aligned with clients objectives and brand image. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance clients catering offerings. Lead and motivate a team of catering professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Build positive, credible and collaborative relationships & communication methods with clients and other key stakeholders in the business. Create a culture of excellence with your team, continually striving to push the boundaries of brilliance through natural caring service, obsessive food standards and innovation. Achieve business critical KPI's including Health and Safety, Sustainability, Financial and Governance.
Qualifications:
- Hotel background essential
- Previous experience commensurate with role
- Financially astute, you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
- Ideal candidate will have had experience with mobilisations, operating high volume, multiple revenue streams, event execution
- Advantageous to have had experience within educational student dining
- Have a contagious passion for food and customer service
- You draw satisfaction from managing, training, and supporting a team
- Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
- Concise and effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
