Portico are currently on the lookout for an engaging and organised Deputy Events Coordinator to join our team based at the city offices of a world-renowned insurance firm. The Deputy Events Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of events, meetings, and VIP visits. This position provides essential operational and administrative support, helping to uphold exceptional service standards and protect the reputation of a high-profile client.

Working closely with the Events & Meetings Coordinator, internal teams, and external suppliers, you will support the full event lifecycle—from planning and logistics to on-site execution. You’ll be relied upon to maintain accuracy, continuity, and operational excellence, particularly during peak periods or when covering coordinator absence. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in precision, and brings a consistently positive and proactive approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination and delivery of events, meetings, and VIP visits.
  • Manage logistics, scheduling, documentation, and on-site execution.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain high service standards and ensure all events are delivered professionally and compliantly.
  • Uphold the client’s reputation by minimising disruption and ensuring seamless attendee experiences.
  • Provide continuity and support during periods of high activity or coordinator absence.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team culture.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts between 7am-8pm, from Monday-Friday, as per business needs.

Salary: £34,500-£35,500 per annum, depending on experience.
