Job Description
As a Kitchen Porter at Greenmeadow Community Farm, you’ll be a vital part of our culinary team, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Dishwashing Dynamo– Keep our kitchen sparkling by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers
- Kitchen Cleanliness Champion– Clean and sanitise surfaces, prep areas, and countertops to the highest hygiene standards. Empty bins and manage waste responsibly
- Prep Assistant Extraordinaire– Support our chefs with basic food prep tasks like peeling, chopping, and slicing fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Inventory Sidekick– Help receive, store, and organise kitchen supplies and ingredients so everything’s in its place when needed
- Safety Star– Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and ensure all equipment is in good working order, supporting a safe and efficient environment
