Searcys are looking for a Commis Pastry Chef to join the team at One Moorgate Place, home of Chartered Accountants' Hall. One Moorgate Place is a beautiful Grade II listed building, packed with original features to impress any guest. We offer conferencing facilities, modern, spacious meeting rooms and a range of elegant spaces for private dining and events.

We are looking for personable individuals to join our Kitchen Brigade as Commis Pastry Chef. You will work across a number of different events including conference and banqueting, private dining and weddings. You will get a chance to be creative and work with the finest ingredients and with a team that will nurture you for the future.

Job Type: Full Time 40 hours contract Monday - Friday + fixed overtime rate. There are occasional weekend/evening work paid at fixed overtime rate.

Annual Salary: £32k plus overtime and occasional weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide food/service to a consistent high standard, including assisting senior chefs with functions in other different areas throughout the business.
  • Responsible to manage stock levels of the section you are overseeing.
  • Ensure the presentation of the food is consistent with the standards set by senior chefs.
  • To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to.
  • Any other reasonable request by the Senior Management.
