Calling all flexible front of house team members! Looking for Catering assistants, Baristas and Hospitality people.
Greenmeadow Community Farm is preparing to open its gates in late September 2025, and we’re looking for dynamic and creative Team Members to support our weddings and events, as well as work alongside an existing team in the restaurant and farm shop during peak times. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the events and guest experience at one of the region’s most anticipated new attractions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting the General Manager in day-to-day operations across the site.
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of weddings and other events.
- Coordinating with the events team to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Helping to build a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere across all catering and visitor touchpoints.
- Working closely with the team to ensure seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities – Hospitality Assistant:
- Greet and assist visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately, ensuring excellent presentation.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting customer area, including tables, counters, and service points.
- Provide helpful information about the menu, venue, and events.
- Support dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and general kitchen hygiene.
- Help with setting up and clearing down service areas before and after shifts.
- Monitor and restock supplies in both front and back-of-house areas.
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Assist with deliveries, unpacking, and proper storage of goods.
- Follow daily cleaning routines and hygiene protocols across all areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and allergen awareness procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in customer and staff areas.
- Work closely with kitchen, café, and event teams to ensure smooth service.
- Support colleagues during busy periods and special events.
- Communicate effectively to help resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of seasonal events and promotions.
- Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities based on operational needs.
Qualifications – What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a hospitality, café, or catering environment is preferred.
- Comfortable working across customer service, food preparation, and cleaning duties.
- Confident in handling basic food and drink service, including using tills and serving customers.
- A can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to different tasks and areas as needed.
- Willing to take initiative in keeping service areas clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
- Creative and enthusiastic about contributing to seasonal displays, event setups, or promotional activities.
- Experience with stock rotation, restocking, and minimising waste.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm and efficient during busy periods.
- A team player with strong communication skills and a positive, solution-focused approach.
- Passionate about delivering great customer service and supporting colleagues across departments.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required.
