Searcys are looking for a Cafe Assistant to join the team at the National Army Museum. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing service excellence to our guests and clients on our daytime Café.
The Cafe Assistant will be supporting and monitoring and serving all food and drinks to customers/clients/guests and clearing throughout the event and support the Café.
Job Type: 0h hours Contract Day time Café: Predominantly working days Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with occasional evening shifts.Responsibilities:- Clean and polish all cutlery and glasses/crockery for the next event.
- Prepare all hospitality food and beverage requests offered to customers/clients/guests in designated meeting spaces in a presentable manner.
- Work without supervision and take initiative over duties and tasks without being directed.
- Serve guests with a genuine and positive demeanour. All service should be efficient and of the highest quality.
- Work on licensed bars serving alcoholic beverages.
- Use coffee machines.
- Assist with deliveries as required.
- Prepare all hospitality requirements ensuring all items are available and if not reporting this to your line manager.
- Ensure that any linen hired, and equipment hired for an event is counted and packed away for collection after the event.
- Excellent product knowledge (food/beverage).
- Takes the initiative.
