Kitchen Porter / General Assistant required for our busy on-site kitchen and restaurant. We are looking for a flexible, reliable, trustworthy, hardworking individual with great organizational skills to help keep the kitchen and restaurant running smoothly in busy times, to join our team.
The role would include but would not be limited to:
- Washing up pans, dishes, kitchen equipment both by hand and using a dishwasher.
- Letting deliveries in, putting them away and rotating stock as required.
- General kitchen duties including basic prep and helping the chefs when and if required.
- Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
- Learning new areas of the business which could include serving on the counter and using a till.
You would also need to be flexible to cover a Friday in the event of holidays or sickness if required. Hours of work would be 28 per week, Monday - Thursday 9.00 am-3.30 pm (this includes 30 mins unpaid break). Rate of pay £13.45 per hour.
Please be aware you would be required to have a Security clearance check and this could take up to 6 weeks if offered the job role.
Qualifications: Some knowledge of working in a catering establishment would be advantageous.
