Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the team at Nomura. Located within the prestigious Nomura investment bank near London Bridge, our kitchen delivers a premium, high-volume staff dining experience to an international corporate audience. The operation combines restaurant-quality food with the pace and efficiency of a large-scale kitchen, offering a diverse daily menu including seasonal hot dishes, deli salads, and grab-and-go concepts. Food is prepared on site using a combination of fresh, chilled and ambient ingredients, with a strong focus on quality, consistency and presentation. This is a fast-paced environment where high standards, teamwork and attention to detail are essential.
About the Chef de Partie role
- Prepare and deliver high-quality food in line with company standards
- Maintain effective stock rotation, food labelling and storage procedures
- Support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ensure full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations
- Carry out general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organised kitchen
- Opportunity to develop through our Chef Academy and ongoing training
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen, with strong organisational skills, a proactive attitude and the ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Good understanding of Food Safety, HACCP and allergen control (Level 2 minimum, Level 3 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of stock control, rotation and waste management
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
