We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve food items according to correct portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen porter and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist customers with their orders, providing information about menu items and accommodating dietary restrictions as needed.
  • Operate service equipment correctly and safely: dishwashers, panini machine, toaster, coffee machine, etc.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Utilise the point-of-sale system to process orders accurately.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and other dining areas before opening and arrange them appropriately.
  • Clean and sanitise tables, counters, and service areas regularly.
  • Ensure the cafe's cleanliness and tidiness by sweeping, mopping, and taking out rubbish.
  • Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, cutlery, and other supplies as needed.
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals.
  • Adhere to dress code policies.
  • Follow proper hand hygiene procedures and maintain personal cleanliness at all times.

Qualifications:
