WS Training are looking to appoint a Study Programme Tutor (maternity cover up to 12 months) for our post 16 and SEND courses including Vocational Studies or/and maths, Employability, English and PSHE. We seek someone hardworking, organised and proactive in their professional development with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.

FTE salary £27,810 - £36, this is dependant on qualifications & experience - proof of qualifications will be requested. The salary will be pro rata based on 45 weeks. Full time - 5 days a week (Mon-Fri), term time only. Expected start date - As soon as possible.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Teaching FS English and Vocational Studies Level 1.
  • Contributing to the initial assessment process, induction activities and identifying gaps in learning.
  • The use of baseline assessments to plan suitable sessions enabling learners to access learning that is motivational and inspiring.
  • Assisting students to improve their own learning and performance by developing their study skills.
  • Devising appropriate interventions to support students to remain on track for completion of their course.
  • Agreeing and putting in place relevant targets and actions.
  • Taking responsibility for planning and delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment to our students who have a broad range of barriers to learning and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
