Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Expeditor to support supply chain and procurement activities for large-scale engineering and construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring timely and compliant delivery of materials, equipment, and associated documentation in line with purchase order requirements and project schedules. Based from a Kingston-upon-Thames office with hybrid working, you will act as a key interface between vendors and internal project teams, proactively managing progress, identifying risks, and preventing delays across the full supply cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders and contractual documentation to identify discrepancies and prevent delivery issues.
- Liaise with vendors to confirm receipt, understanding, and acknowledgment of purchase orders.
- Verify that vendor supply schedules cover all phases of the supply cycle, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and shipment.
- Monitor vendor progress and provide accurate, up-to-date status reporting aligned with project priorities.
- Proactively identify risks, delays, or deviations and implement mitigation actions.
- Coordinate interfaces between vendors and internal engineering, procurement, inspection, and logistics teams.
- Ensure timely availability of shipping and transport documentation.
- Manage and track βdual-useβ items in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within SAP, including goods receipts and milestone tracking.
- Support evaluation of delay impacts and vendor performance issues.
- Assist with vendor claims, variation requests, and performance feedback.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in an Expeditor or Supply Chain Coordination role.
- Background working on EPCI projects, ideally within oil & gas, energy, or renewables.
- Strong understanding of procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and logistics workflows.
- Hands-on experience using SAP and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office / Office 365.
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail-focused, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator, able to manage multiple vendor and stakeholder interfaces.
- Must be UK-based with full, permanent right to work (no sponsorship available).
