Role Overview
Our client is looking for a proactive and motivated Business Development Manager to join their team. This role is field-based, requiring extensive UK travel to engage with market traders, local authorities, and market operators. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in growing our client’s membership, developing relationships, and promoting the benefits of joining the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase our client’s membership.
- Travel extensively across the UK to visit markets, engage with traders, and promote our client’s services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including market operators, councils, and independent traders.
- Deliver presentations and attend networking events to raise awareness of our client’s benefits.
- Provide high levels of customer service to ensure positive engagement with existing and potential members.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for membership growth and partnerships.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and report on progress.
- Stay informed about industry trends and challenges to provide relevant insights and solutions.
Key Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience in customer service, business development, or sales.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
