Our client is a well-established specialist in large format digital print, producing high-quality signage, display graphics and visual solutions for a wide range of industries including marketing, advertising and retail. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join their production team in Maidstone.
The Role:
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Pre-Press / Mac Operator to play a key role in preparing artwork and files for large format print production. You will ensure all files are print-ready, accurate and meet quality standards, working closely with production and design teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, check and manage print-ready artwork files on Mac for large format printing
- Review artwork for resolution, colour accuracy and overall print suitability
- Troubleshoot and resolve pre-press issues efficiently
- Work closely with production and design teams to meet deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and follow quality control procedures
- Ensure all work meets required technical and quality standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pre-Press Operator or Mac Operator within a printing environment
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
- Experience with colour management, RIP software and large format print workflows
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably on late/second shifts
- Experience with automated pre-press software is desirable
- Experience using PitStop Pro is preferred
