Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Eversley, Hampshire (with travel to multiple sites) Salary: From £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time About the Role: Our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their established demolition and earthworks contracting team. This is a full-time position based at their office in Eversley, Hampshire, with regular travel to a variety of project sites. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects that vary in size, complexity, and location. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing applications for payment, including the valuation of variations and loss/expense claims * Agreeing interim payments with clients and monitoring payment notices and deadlines * Assisting in the preparation of project budgets with Contracts Managers and the Operations Director * Monitoring budgets against actual costs and monthly projections * Managing subcontractor procurement, including enquiries, order placement, interim payments, and final accounts * Ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled across all projects * Advising Contracts Managers on commercial matters including variations and delays * Assisting in the preparation of contractual notices (EWNs, NCEs, and EOTs) * Carrying out site visits to monitor potential variations and maintain accurate records * Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and team members What We’re Looking For: * Experience in a quantity surveying or construction management role, ideally within demolition or earthworks * Knowledge of JCT Standard Forms of Contract (or similar) * Degree or relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying * Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel * Experience in subcontractor procurement and producing/monitoring project budgets * Proven ability to track and manage payment cycles * A full UK driving licence is essential Please Note: All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
