Job Description
Job Title: Asbestos Removal Supervisor\\nSalary: £18.00-£20.00 per hour (dependant on experience)\\nVan + fuel on the cards, would consider CIS but no van.\\nJob Types: Full-time, Permanent\\nSchedule: 8-hour shift\\nLocation: Oxford\\nOur client with a full order book and exciting projects ahead, are looking for qualified and experienced Asbestos Removal Supervisor, based in Southern England.\\nTheir clients' portfolio is very varied and ranges from NHS trusts, local government, Railway, MOD, schools, housing associations, construction & demolition contractors, and commercial businesses.\\nMain Duties & Responsibilities:\\nTo organise, supervise and work alongside removal operatives.\\nTo monitor progress on site to achieve the required programme, standards, and customer requirements.\\nTo coordinate and communicate with the other divisions of the business to ensure the smooth running of all contracts.\\nTo advise contracts manager of onsite disputes, programme, or any other issues relating to the works on site.\\nTo log all plant and equipment used on site and check that the required inspection and testing has been carried out and recorded where necessary.\\nTo ensure that a competent person has carried out pre-use checks to confirm if the equipment is safe to use.\\nTo carry out and record daily & weekly inspections, including RPE inspections.\\nTo maintain a good standard of site records and documentation.\\nTo ensure that plant tools and equipment are de-contaminated and transported in accordance with the procedures prior to off hiring or placing back in stores.\\nTo assist in other areas of the business as and when required.\\nThe following skills and in date training are essential:\\nFull accredited Asbestos Removal Supervisor training – in date.\\nAsbestos Lung function medical – in date.\\nFull Face Fits and Service Certificates – in date.\\nExperience of working on demolition/asbestos removal sites.\\nAbility to direct a team to deliver the business’ primary objectives with the ability to mentor and motivate staff where necessary.\\nGood communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a methodical and calm manner.\\nAccurate and pays attention to detail.\\nPresentable.\\nFull driving license.\\nThe following skills and training are Desirable:\\nCSCS Card\\nBenefits:\\nCompany events\\nCompany pension\\nFree flu jabs
