Location: Leeds, Chesterfield or Worksop with hybrid working

Are you a Head of Testing and QA who has established and led the end-to-end Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) function within a complex enterprise business?

WRK digital are delighted to partner with Greencore, a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK. Greencore supply all the major supermarkets in the UK as well as travel retail outlets, discounters, coffee shops, foodservice providers, and other retailers. Employing over 14,000 people, they operate 21 world-class manufacturing units across 16 locations in the UK, with industry-leading technology and supply chain capabilities.

They are entering an exciting period of an IT transformation programme that will streamline and simplify core processes, provide easier access to quality business data, and enable investment in the right technology.

What you\’ll be doing as the Head of QA & Test at Greencore?

As the Head of QA & Test at Greencore you will be responsible for establishing and leading the end-to-end Testing and Quality Assurance (QA) function within Greencore. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of QA & testing from creating a Test Strategy and approach to leading the preparation and execution of the major test phases required to ensure that the newly migrated systems can go-live with little or no risk to the business.

This new IT Testing & QA capability will play a crucial role in ensuring products, services and integrations introduced meet specific requirements and quality standards before they are promoted to live service. You will build and manage a high-performing testing team with 3-5 direct reports and augmented supplier resources of c5-40 across projects.

What we’re looking for?

• Proven experience in building and leading a Test & QA function, ideally in large-scale or complex environments.
• Strong expertise in software testing methodologies (manual, automated, performance, security).
• Experience integrating augmented supplier resources and managing external partnerships.
• Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Skilled in influencing and aligning senior stakeholders on quality-focused and value driven initiatives.
• Experience within industries requiring stringent testing (e.g. finance, manufacturing, logistics) is advantageous.
