We are shortlisting for an Agile Delivery Manager to lead a high-performing data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional projects, driving the data engineering strategy, and ensuring the availability, security, and scalability of data systems that support digital transformation initiatives. This is a pivotal role in shaping how data drives business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Champion agile ways of working, including running sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and refinement sessions. Integrate other team members as needed, such as analysts, developers, or IT architects.
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with senior technical and business stakeholders to define and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, prioritised sprint stories.
About You
- You bring a mix of people leadership, strategic thinking, and project delivery expertise. You may not be the most technical person in the room, but you know how to get the best out of technical teams.
- Experience leading technical teams, ideally in data engineering, software development, or analytics.
- Strong familiarity with agile methodologies and frameworks; knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
