3 days per week onsite in Worcester. £60,999 rising to £64,205 on achieving proficient level after 1 year.

Role Intro: We are searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager, managing, monitoring and ensuring delivery of agreed projects to improve Technology services as part of the overall Technology Strategy and operational delivery. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, with up to 5 direct reports, you will ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery of projects across the Group to support Technology improvements and efficiencies for the benefit of all customers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage high profile and business critical projects throughout the project lifecycle through the effective control and utilisation of resources (including budgets), to ensure the achievement of the objectives in line with the Technology strategy and business plan.
• Develop, manage and implement project plans to effectively manage and deliver Technology improvement projects that resolve identified business issues or provide new business solutions to support Technology users.
• Support the delivery of solutions that meet customer needs, working with internal and external stakeholders to project manage the implementation of service and product improvements that meet the current and future needs of Technology customers and liaising effectively with suppliers as necessary.
• Support the delivery of new, and integration of existing Technology systems/applications, including effective appraisal of new technologies and their suitability to meet the future needs of the Group.
• Lead the development and control of Technology project management processes to achieve project efficiencies and cost reductions including undertaking comprehensive project reviews to identify improvements.

Experience:

• Proven experience of using project planning tools to effectively manage projects.
• Comprehensive experience of managing medium to large scale Technology projects.
• Proven experience in working with others to deliver projects, including indirect reports and third party suppliers.
• Proven experience of producing progress reports and management information, including making recommendations for changes needed to ensure delivery.
• Proven experience in developing solutions in line with business strategies whilst meeting business and user needs.
• Excellent communication and understanding of written and spoken English.
