What you’ll do
- Architect and oversee the end-to-end development of secure, cloud-native software applications that serve our diverse client base.
- Lead the technical design process for distributed systems, ensuring that all components are highly available, fault-tolerant, and performant.
- Act as a primary mentor for junior and mid-level engineers, providing code reviews, technical guidance, and career development support to raise the overall team capability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate complex business problems into actionable, efficient technical roadmaps.
- Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes, ensuring rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery cycles.
- Champion the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to maintain consistent, reproducible environments across our cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize existing system architectures to improve throughput, reduce latency, and minimize technical debt across our legacy and modern platforms.
- Drive the integration of event-driven patterns to enhance system decoupling and scalability in high-traffic environments.
- Conduct rigorous security audits and implement "secure-by-design" principles throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align engineering efforts with overarching company goals and performance benchmarks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to determine their suitability for our tech stack, maintaining our competitive advantage.
- Manage the technical delivery of enterprise-grade content management solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing cloud ecosystems.
Requirements
- A deep, demonstrable history of working with modern software engineering methodologies, specifically focusing on cloud-native architectures and secure development lifecycles.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing complex distributed systems, including a strong grasp of API design principles and event-driven communication patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and a sophisticated understanding of policy-as-code methodologies within CI/CD workflows.
- Significant professional experience working within enterprise-level environments, particularly with large-scale cloud content management systems.
- Demonstrated versatility in navigating both Java-based ecosystems and the Microsoft.NET technology stack, with the ability to switch contexts effectively.
- A track record of successfully optimizing development processes, resulting in measurable reductions in lead times and improvements in deployment frequency.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve critical production issues in high-pressure scenarios.
- Strong communication abilities, enabling you to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
- Experience leading technical migrations or large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Active participation in the open-source community or contributions to technical publications.
- Experience working in an agency or consultancy environment where managing multiple client projects is standard.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security frameworks such as OPA (Open Policy Agent).
Skills & tools
- Advanced proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems architecture.
- Mastery of CI/CD orchestration tools and automated testing frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of Java and.NET frameworks, including their respective ecosystem tools and libraries.
- Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
