Hours: 34 hours per week, 08:30-15:30 (16:30 on Tues for CPD), Term time plus 5 INSET days

Salary: Grade 2 - SCP 4 - 5 - £13.05 - £13.26 per hour

Yearly Full-Time Equivalent: £25,185 - £26,403

Yearly Actual Salary: £19,884 - £20,198

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant, who will support SEN students within the classroom and who can also lead individual/small group interventions.

Support for students may include:

  • Attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters, as appropriate.
  • Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
  • Develop a good knowledge of a pupil's individual special educational needs and implement appropriate strategies as outlined in the students’ profile.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the Teacher.
  • Encourage pupils to act independently as appropriate.
  • To provide pastoral support for pupils as directed by the SENDCo, Tutor or Head of Year.
