About Wrisk
Wrisk is reinventing insurance for today’s digital consumer and helping an outdated industry become relevant again in the process. In the same way that fintech companies have disrupted the traditional banking sector, reimagining financial platforms for a new generation, Wrisk’s founders share a vision for how insurance ought to be: simple, transparent and personal. Bringing together two disparate industries (technology and insurance), they have created an insurance experience like no other, centred squarely around the customer. The result is Wrisk: flexible insurance that adapts to fit your life. Our mobile-first, frictionless platform lets people interact with their insurance provider with the same ease, speed and transparency they’re already used to having with providers in other sectors. Customers can pay monthly, instantly make changes to their cover and bring all their disclosure, payment and claim information together in a single place. Now, with big brand partners and a global stage, we are bringing our unique customer experience and platform to market to change how insurance is bought, sold and managed.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, technically fluent Product Manager to lead a brand new vertical at Wrisk – leading the build and management of the platform to support automotive underwriters working with brokers and intermediaries. You must be genuinely comfortable and adept at navigating data. This includes being able to independently explore datasets, understand key performance indicators, identify patterns or anomalies, and use data to inform product decisions. Furthermore, candidates must possess a sound awareness of crucial regulatory frameworks such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, relevant to our industry, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other regulations, understanding their impact on product development and data handling. You’ll be shaping a new B2B proposition from scratch, backed by everything we’ve learned in building B2B2C products for OEMs. This will start small – highly collaborative, agile, and iterative – and scale fast. You’ll be the connective tissue between engineering, underwriters, brokers, and business stakeholders, helping us create intuitive and compliant tools that streamline underwriting workflows and empower distribution. This role requires someone comfortable in complexity: confident in breaking down business problems, fluent in APIs and platform design, and able to go from whiteboard to backlog and back again. You won’t be just writing tickets – you’ll be shaping the product, influencing strategy, and setting a standard for the team that follows.
What You’ll Do
- Product Leadership
- Lead the discovery, definition, and delivery of our new Underwriter & Broker platform
- Shape product vision and roadmap with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Insurance, and Commercial
- Prioritise ruthlessly to ensure fast, focused iterations and working software that delivers real value early
- Collaborate closely with engineers to design and evolve API-first services and modular platform capabilities
- Understand and help shape technical architecture decisions, and articulate product trade-offs in technical conversations
- Define, write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria, particularly where integrations and systems behaviour are key
- Champion excellent user experience across every layer of the product, especially in tools designed for underwriters and brokers
- Work closely with designers to ensure flows are intuitive, accessible, and efficient — optimising not just for compliance, but for real-world usability
- Help translate user feedback into clear, actionable improvements and continuously refine how the platform feels to use
- Run agile ceremonies (kick-offs, desk checks, retros) and manage backlog quality
- Work with designers, data analysts and technical analysts to develop customer-centric solutions and robust business cases
- Partner with underwriters, brokers, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and operational expectations
- Lay the groundwork for future growth by helping define roles, processes and best practices for this new vertical
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding as the team scales with business success
- Help codify documentation and knowledge repositories as the product matures
Why Wrisk?
- You’ll join a high-calibre team solving meaningful problems with real impact
- Flexible hybrid working (London-based HQ)
- A collaborative, curious and ambitious culture where you’ll grow fast
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a digital, API-driven environment
- Strong technical literacy – confident working with APIs, backend services, and platform design concepts
- Experience delivering B2B or platform products, ideally in regulated domains (insurance a plus, but not essential)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and a passion for iterative delivery and continuous improvement
- A sharp eye for UX and usability – you value clean, intuitive design and understand how to work effectively with designers to get there
- Exceptional communication skills – able to bridge technical and non-technical worlds with clarity and empathy
- A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a deep desire to build something valuable from the ground up
Desired:
- Experience working with underwriting or broker portals
- Familiarity with insurance distribution models and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in a scaling startup or B2B SaaS environment
