About the Role
As Wrike scales globally, our People systems must operate as true infrastructure — not just tools. We’re hiring a Team Lead, People Systems & Analytics, to own the strategy, governance, and technical execution of Wrike’s global People Systems ecosystem.
UKG is our core HRIS, and you will own its configuration and optimization, ensuring it works seamlessly across the broader People ecosystem throughout the full employee lifecycle. Your mandate is simple: make our systems connected, reliable, automated, and governed across the full employee lifecycle.
You will lead one HR Systems & Analytics Analyst while staying hands‑on in integrations, workflow design, automation, reporting, and system improvements. You’ll balance long‑term modernization with day‑to‑day execution.
This role is for someone who thinks like a systems product owner, designs with architectural rigor, and executes like an operator.
Your Impact
You will transform our People systems into a unified, scalable ecosystem that supports every stage of the employee lifecycle. You’ll ensure UKG and surrounding platforms operate cohesively through clean integrations, structured governance, and intelligent automation.
You’ll simplify complex workflows, strengthen data integrity, and improve reporting reliability for HR, Finance, and leadership. At the same time, you’ll elevate how we manage systems — introducing stronger documentation discipline, modern analytics practices, and practical AI where it drives real value.
Team Dynamics
This role reports to the HR Operations Leader and will be a core partner to key stakeholders across multiple global time zones.
People System Architecture & Execution
- Own configuration, governance, and optimization of UKG while ensuring strong integration across the broader People tech stack.
- Lead lifecycle workflow redesign (recruiting through offboarding) to improve automation, ownership clarity, and transparency.
- Reduce manual friction through improved sequencing, validation controls, and automation triggers.
- Maintain structured documentation and version‑control practices (e.g., GitHub‑based configuration tracking) to enhance auditability and transparency.
- Balance long‑term systems architecture with day‑to‑day configuration, troubleshooting, and stakeholder support.
People Analytics & Reporting Infrastructure
- Lead design and delivery of dashboards and reporting for HR, Finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Build scalable reporting frameworks using tools such as Tableau, SQL/BigQuery, or similar analytics platforms.
- Define and standardize metric definitions, data dictionaries, and cross‑system reporting logic.
- Strengthen reconciliation between HRIS, payroll, and finance systems to improve data integrity.
- Embed reporting into strategic workforce planning and decision‑making conversations.
Automation, AI & Intelligent Workflows
- Identify and implement automation and AI/LLM use cases across lifecycle workflows and reporting.
- Replace manual processes with structured system logic and automated validations.
- Introduce scalable self‑service models, knowledge bases, and integrated help flows.
- Evaluate governance, risk, and compliance guardrails when deploying AI‑enabled solutions.
Strategic Systems Roadmap & Delivery
- Build and sequence a clear People systems roadmap aligned to business growth and modernization priorities.
- Conduct lifecycle audits to identify system gaps, integration issues, and scalability risks.
- Prioritize enhancements based on impact, readiness, and long‑term sustainability.
- Manage vendor relationships, release planning, and system upgrades across the People ecosystem.
Leadership & Operational Ownership
- Lead and develop one HR Systems & Analytics Analyst.
- Set clear priorities, operating rhythms, and quality standards.
- Review reporting outputs, automation logic, and workflow design to ensure scalability and accuracy.
Maintain high service standards for system performance, reporting reliability, and stakeholder responsiveness.
Experiences & Qualities We Value
Systems Owner
You’ve directly configured and optimized enterprise HRIS platforms (UKG or similar). You understand integrations, workflow logic, system trade‑offs, and governance controls.
Data & Analytics Builder
You’ve built reporting infrastructure or dashboards using tools such as Tableau, SQL, or similar platforms. You understand metric definitions and reconciliation discipline.
Automation & AI Mindset
You have implemented automation or AI‑enabled workflows in operational environments. You understand both opportunity and risk and think in scalable system logic.
Product‑Oriented Operator
You approach People systems like a product owner — defining requirements, sequencing enhancements, balancing trade‑offs, and delivering measurable impact.
Hands‑On Leader
You’ve led individuals or small teams while remaining technically engaged. You coach, review, and elevate others while contributing directly.
Global Systems Collaborator
You operate effectively across regions, compliance environments, and distributed teams.
Standout Qualities
- You believe People systems are infrastructure — not back‑office support.
- You enjoy turning fragmented workflows into structured logic.
- You think in integrations, data flows, dashboards, and automation.
- You value clean governance as much as speed.
- You want to modernize and scale People infrastructure in a global organization.
