We are currently seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join our Private Client team based in Leeds. Our Private Client Team is one of the largest and most successful private client teams outside London, specialising in the administration of complex, high value and prestigious estates. We are consistently ranked as a ‘tier one’ department in various leading legal directories. You will join a leading team of lawyers who specialise in providing advice to private individuals and trustees in respect of trust management, probate, and estate planning.

About The Role
The role is ideally suited to someone with approximately 5 years’ experience of estate administration. Experience of trust administration would be preferable but not necessary. The successful candidate will provide specialist estate administration advice, inheritance tax planning, capital gains and income tax related advice for estate periods.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Dealing with all aspects of probate and inheritance tax related advice, dealing with correspondence and direct contact with clients
- A depth and breadth of experience in the relevant specialist areas such as estate administration, tax planning, inheritance tax
- Engaging in business development activities and being active in the promotion of the firm and seeking opportunities for new work (particularly in the Sheffield area)
- Developing ongoing relationships with an existing client base
- Developing close working relationships with colleagues within the team and the wider firm and supporting those colleagues by helping them manage their caseloads by dealing with specific delegated tasks
- Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and other regulatory aspects by attending training provided
