We are looking for a Corporate Solicitor to join a small team of commercial lawyers, advising clients from across the firm’s client base in relation to a range of corporate finance and corporate governance related matters.

About the Role
The role would be well suited to a corporate lawyer currently working in a commercial practice, with commercial clients, who is looking to transition their career to working within a less-corporate environment with a more person-centred client base. The successful candidate will have exposure to the firm’s wide and diverse client base, all of which require mainstream corporate law services.
Key Competences
- A good grounding in corporate finance and corporate governance and a track record of handling a varied and challenging caseload is essential.
- Experience of advising on a range of corporate finance and corporate governance related matters is essential, including sales and purchase, shares and governance.
- Knowledge of the following is not essential, but would be advantageous:
- Understanding of corporate insolvency and of financial services regulatory issues is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of advising on debt finance related matters is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working with a number of different legal structures in addition to companies limited by shares CLGs, LLPs and partnerships, CICs, co-operatives and CBSs, is desirable but not essential.
- An understanding of trusts law would be advantageous.
This role would suit a solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE, but the workload can be tailored to the level of experience dependent on the successful candidate.
