What you’ll be doing as Junior Paralegal at Wrigleys Solicitors? You will support the wider team across a range of matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their legal career who is keen to gain practical experience, develop their skills and build a long-term career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Dealing with all aspects of the administration of estates, including collating information on assets and liabilities, preparing applications for grants of representation and short form inheritance tax accounts, drafting basic estate accounts
- Drafting wills and codicils using established precedents
- Drafting powers of attorney, including Lasting Powers of Attorney (both property and financial affairs and health and welfare)
- Dealing with correspondence and liaising directly with clients and third parties
- Supporting solicitors in the team and helping them manage their caseloads by dealing with specific delegated tasks
- Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and other regulatory aspects by attending training provided
What we’re looking for in a Junior Paralegal:
- A law degree and have an interest in pursuing a career in law
- Proficient IT skills - particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Adaptable, willing, and capable of working flexibly and as part of a team
- The ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
