About The Role
As Business Support Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Sheffield office by providing support to both fee-earning and business support teams.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage business support teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across office, reception, and hospitality services.
- Oversee service delivery to fee earners, maintaining high standards in administration, document production, and communication.
- Manage health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and first aid coordination.
- Act as the main contact for third-party suppliers and oversee related invoicing and budget adherence.
- Manage recruitment, performance management, appraisals, and HR matters for direct reports.
- Identify training needs and support professional development within the team.
- Collaborate on business improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures.
- Monitor team capacity and workflow, providing regular updates to the senior leadership team.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging engagement and accountability.
The ideal candidate
Essential skills and experience required for this role:
- Prior professional services experience is preferred; legal experience is beneficial.
