About us
Wrights Landscapes Group Ltd is a Constructionline Gold-accredited commercial landscaping contractor delivering projects for national housebuilders and main contractors across London and the South East. Due to a growing pipeline of contracted timber works, we're recruiting an experienced Landscape Carpenter to join our site teams.
The role
You'll set out and build external timber structures on live commercial landscaping projects, working from construction drawings and specifications. Day to day this includes:
- Building and installing timber pergolas, gates and canopies
- Featherboard, knee-rail, post-and-rail and chestnut paling fencing, including setting posts and fixing gravel boards
- Timber planters, benches, picnic tables, storage units and play furniture
- Decking and first-fix carpentry to external structures
- Snagging and remedial carpentry during defects periods
You'll report to the Contracts Manager and travel to sites across London and the South East.
What we're looking for
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery, or 3+ years' site carpentry experience
- Able to work accurately from construction drawings
- Confident with hand and power tools to a high standard of finish
- CSCS card (or willing to obtain before starting on site)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
