Overview

WWL is pleased to offer a rare opportunity for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to join our award-winning Data Analytics and Assurance Team. It’s an exciting time to join the Department as we transition to our new Snowflake Data Platform.

You’ll be passionate about using data and statistics, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, insightful analytics that influence decision-making and improve patient care and outcomes. You’ll bring extensive data analysis skills, a desire to fully understand questions and scenarios, and the ability to provide recommendations where answers aren’t always obvious.

You’ll work both autonomously and as part of a team across a portfolio of projects, providing expert knowledge of national standards, in-house designed statistical intelligence, and insightful apps. You’ll promote the proactive use of intelligence and support the Trust’s data-driven strategy.

We offer flexible working with a blend of office and home-based arrangements.

This vacancy is open to internal and external candidates. NHS employees should ideally secure managerial agreement for secondment prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer. The post is fixed term for 12 months to cover a secondment and will end after 12 months or when the substantive post holder returns. Whilst this post is advertised on a fixed term / secondment basis there is the potential that this post may become permanent in the future.

Responsibilities

To work within the Elective Care Team in the provision of an Analytics and Business Intelligence service to the Trust, its Divisions, Corporate Functions and Commissioners.

The post holder will support the Analytics Service in the creation or interpretation of analytics.

The role will also support the design and rollout of data reporting structures and interactive dashboards and will aid the Data Technology Teams during their production.

The post holder will require good analytical, technical and communication skills in order to aid the production of accurate & robust statistics & intelligence.

The post holder will understand their stakeholder’s strategic direction, as well as current issues, in order to know how to prioritise & manage their workload to ensure the most effective outputs are delivered at the right time.

The post holder should have a good awareness of the Trusts external environment to identify & respond to variations from the local or national trends.
