We’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help expand our presence across the UK food processing sector, with a particular focus on fresh produce. This is a hands-on, field-based role where success comes from building trust, understanding customer operations, and delivering the right solutions. You’ll be working directly with senior decision-makers across production, engineering, and operations — so confidence, credibility, and the ability to communicate value at all levels are essential. If you understand how fresh produce facilities operate and can engage customers as a knowledgeable partner (not just a salesperson), this role offers real scope to make an impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing new business opportunities across UK food and fresh produce processing sites
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with customers — from site managers to senior leadership teams
  • Confidently presenting equipment solutions within factory environments
  • Managing the full sales process, from initial contact through to project completion
  • Identifying opportunities within existing accounts and growing customer partnerships
  • Planning and managing your own territory and pipeline
  • Delivering against sales targets with clear forecasting and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience selling into food processing or fresh produce environments
  • Strong understanding of factory-based operations (ideally within fruit and vegetable processing)
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
  • Confidence presenting and discussing technical solutions on-site
  • Background in capital equipment, machinery, or technical sales
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing your own schedule
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary with uncapped earning potential
  • Company car or allowance
  • Autonomy to manage your own territory and approach
  • The opportunity to represent a well-established and growing business in a specialist market
  • Benefits including 25 days’ holiday, pension, and Death in Service

Why Join Us?

This is more than a sales role — it’s an opportunity to become a trusted partner to your customers, helping them improve efficiency and performance in demanding production environments. If you’re confident in front of customers, understand the fresh produce sector, and enjoy building lasting relationships, we’d like to hear from you.
