Purpose of Post
We are looking for a hands-on Manager responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organisation\’s IT Support and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Desk Management: Resolve user issues and service requests promptly, implement and manage ITIL-based support processes, monitor SLAs, KPIs, and user satisfaction, coordinate escalations and resolve high-priority issues.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee design, performance, and availability of network, server, storage, and endpoints; manage hardware, software, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure with vendors and internal teams; support factory floor systems; maintain business continuity via backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability.
- Security Management: Develop and maintain security policies (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials), monitor tools, respond to threats, ensure GDPR and cybersecurity compliance, conduct assessments and penetration tests, manage endpoint security and patching.
- ERP Support: Support ERP implementation, provide technical support during testing, migration, training, and early phases, align support processes post-implementation.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the team; conduct performance reviews and training.
- IT Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce policies; ensure compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to IT strategy; identify improvement opportunities; stay current with industry trends.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance; conduct audits; maintain documentation.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-7 years experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services within the last 7 years.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity strategies, security assessments, and incident management.
- 5+ years experience in leading, mentoring, and developing IT teams.
- Experience managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, O365, networking, cybersecurity, Active Directory, Wi-Fi, multi-site management, firewalls, antivirus, EDR, and email security.
