Wrightbus is the fastest growing production company in Europe. We are recruiting for a Repair Bay Technician. The Repair Bay Technician will be responsible for the strip down and rebuild of vehicles that require major overhaul, repair, and refurbishment.
The Role:
- Stripping down and rebuilding complex parts and assemblies which are variable in nature due to the size and complexity of repair.
- Creation of WMP's to aid in the strip down and repair of vehicles, outside of standard working practices used on the production line.
- Fabrication of complex parts and assemblies to support the rebuilding process.
- Reading and working from complex part and assembly drawings and schematics and following verbal instructions.
- Moving between several distinct operations whilst maintaining high quality workmanship and overall efficiency.
- Fitting and assembly of metal, wood, and laminate components to vehicles during the assembly process in accordance with the customer and build specifications.
- Safe operation of plant, equipment and/or hand tools associated with the manufacture, fitting or assembly of components.
- Compliance with the company's Health and Safety procedures.
- Undertaking training or retraining associated with the post or the introduction of new working practices and training other colleagues.
The Requirements:
- 4 years' time served in relevant discipline e.g., Fitter, Mechanic, plumber (written confirmation required).
- 4 years chassis experience/relevant experience.
- Relevant experience using a variety of hand, power, and air tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to work out of process safely to rebuild the vehicle.
- Ability to create working instructions.
