Wrightbus is a fast-paced organisation that has seen significant growth in recent years. As part of this continued expansion, we are recruiting a Finance Manager for our NewPower facility in Bicester. The role will oversee the finance teams for both the NewPower and Re-Furb business units, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and full compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the close process - ensuring that timings are achieved; finance colleagues are aware of key dates and expectations.
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis for review by Senior Management.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions, offering support and guidance throughout month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Contribute to the production of the monthly group financial reporting pack, providing concise commentary where appropriate.
  • Analyse, challenge and interpret the month-end results to provide detailed insight into variances and report on key drivers of change.
  • Manage the year-end audit process, as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Review financial and operational results to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improved financial control.
  • Review existing finance processes and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure reconciliations, control checks and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments to support best practices, drive growth and strengthen controls.
  • Identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvements to practices.
  • Monitor direct costs and overheads, highlighting potential risks to achieving budget/forecast.
  • Apply cross-team working to track efficiency improvements and cost-down exercises.
  • Monitor and track inventory valuations to maximise working capital and limit waste.

The Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years PQE.
  • Experience of having influenced senior leadership as a finance business partner essential.
  • Experience of providing financial leadership in a Manufacturing and/or Parts and Service environment.
  • Up to date computer skills including MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting tools.
