Wrightbus is the fastest growing production company in Europe. We're looking for a Commercial Bid Executive to join the Wrightbus Sales team in Ballymena to generate leads, quotations, and proposals for top transport industry clients.

The Role:

  • Oversee opportunities throughout all phases of the proposal process in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy.
  • Creating clear and well-structured client proposal packs, including quotation letters, presentations, and tender documents.
  • These should correctly interpret customer requests and may involve engaging with customers directly on various issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Using online tender portals ensuring that information is collated and uploaded both grammatically and commercially accurate. (Training will be provided).
  • Estimate manufacturing costs of vehicle to customer specification, using the most recent information available. (May entail engaging suppliers for prices).
  • Interpret customers contractual requirements and compile a report detailing the commercial elements.
  • Draft customer specific deal sheets for senior executive to sign off.
  • Ensure that accurate and clear records are kept and are up to date on historical pricing for each customer to allow final prices to be agreed and justified.
  • Engaging with a range of internal stakeholders across departments, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with customers on various issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Sales Directors to ensure relevant customer requirements are captured in preparation for bid proposal.
  • Gather and organise relevant information from tenders for future use in bid library.
  • Upkeep tender and quotation files on internal software.
  • Support in drafting business reports if/when required.

The Requirements:

  • A Minimum of an HND/NVQ L5 in business related subject or equivalent. OR 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of bid writing and quotation preparation.
  • Understanding of bid processes and practices.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
