Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide contractual and commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to final account. This role is responsible for maximising project value, managing commercial risk, maintaining healthy cashflow, and ensuring robust commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with operational, finance, procurement, and commercial teams, you will play a key role in delivering successful project outcomes while supporting business objectives and maintaining high standards of commercial performance. The successful candidate will also take ownership of subcontract procurement and management, build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the development of junior commercial professionals through mentoring and coaching.
Experience:
- CSCS accredited.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience.
- Professional membership (RICS, CICES, ICE or similar) desirable.
- Strong background in commercial and financial management within construction or infrastructure environments.
- Experience delivering civil engineering projects including drainage, highways, groundworks, concrete structures, and related infrastructure works.
- Experience managing projects valued up to £20m.
- Full UK driving licence.
