About the Opportunity

I'm currently working with a leading, award-winning infrastructure contractor that's looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its expanding pre-construction team in the North West. This is a key role for a skilled civil engineering professional to take ownership of pricing exciting regional infrastructure, rail, and earthworks projects.

The Role

Working closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams, you'll produce detailed first-principle estimates and manage tender submissions to support a rapidly growing pipeline of profitable work.

  • Prepare accurate, detailed first-principles cost estimates.
  • Manage tender submissions across regional civils, earthworks, highways, and rail projects.
  • Review specifications, drawings, and tender documentation thoroughly.
  • Source, negotiate, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Identify commercial risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and internal delivery teams.

About You

  • Proven background as an Estimator within Civil Engineering / Infrastructure.
  • Strong ability to price works confidently from first principles.
  • Experience working across highways, earthworks, rail, or general civils.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and communication.
