The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 ÂŁ per year.
You will work alongside our professional team, supporting them in an advisory role in all VAT related queries. Opportunity to work with both clients, directors and team members. You may be based at either our Lincoln or Nottingham office (though there will be a requirement to work with all our offices), you will be experienced in VAT and have a background in some advisory work. You may hold an accounting or tax qualification or simply be qualified by experience.
General Responsibilities:
- To work alongside the professional team in a VAT advisory role, working directly with clients and directors and other team members.
- Dealing with internal and external VAT queries and assignments as they arise.
- Help to identify tax planning opportunities and making recommendations.
- Planning and performing VAT consultancy assignments.
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and advising Directors/Managers and clients accordingly.
- Technical research and report writing.
- Working to tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
Skills and Qualities:
- Accountancy/Tax qualification or Qualified by Experience.
- Strong background in VAT.
- Ability to communicate complex issues in an effective manner.
- Commercial approach.
- Clean driving licence with access to a car for business use.
Personal Skills:
- Strong inter-personal skills.
- Motivated and committed to provide an excellent service.
- Enthusiasm and desire to succeed.
- Confidence in directly advising internal and external clients on VAT issues.
- Excellent organisational skills – a “finisher”.
- A self-confident and effective communicator.
Working Conditions and Package: Dependant on level.
