The Company:
The company is a well established manufacturer of FMCG products for the retail and food service sectors.
Job description:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for troubleshooting using high-level fault-finding techniques in order to maintain and enhance a fully automated production plant consisting of process and front-line packaging machinery. You will assist with plant optimisation and performance within a genuine culture of continuous improvement. Ensuring that production targets are achieved on time, you will work to stringent cost and quality standards. You will work with the factory planned maintenance system both developing and completing planned maintenance routines and to constantly monitor the effectiveness of the production systems.
Skills:
- Experience as a maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment ideally from a food manufacturing FMCG background.
- An electrically biased engineer with a strong mechanical skill set.
- Engineering qualifications.
- Electrical qualifications.
- A knowledge of PLC would be a great advantage but not essential.
- Experience in refrigeration would be an advantage.
- You will need the ability to fault find in all areas of engineering and rectify to a satisfactory outcome.
- You will need to have a willingness to learn and develop new skills to progress within the role and with the company.
