Job description:
The main purpose of the role is to prepare surfaces for various paint and coatings applications.
Main Duties:
- Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
- Clean any contaminants, such as rust and dirt, using abrasive blasting equipment or other hand tools, ensuring smooth surface finishes to maximize adherence to protective coatings.
- Apply standards and perform tasks independently, while coordinating with a team of coating application operatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Maintaining and enhancing the appearance of the parts.
- Any other duties which may be reasonably required.
Experience:
- Previous commercial vehicle prepping.
- Previous experience with hand tools.
- Shot blasting experience desirable.
- Strong attention to details.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Self-motivated and organised.
