Pay Rates:

  • Standard PAYE:
  • Monday to Friday: £16.25 per hour
  • Saturday: £18.25 per hour
  • Sunday: £19.25 per hour
  • With Rolled‑Up Holiday Pay:
    • Monday to Friday: £18.46 per hour
    • Saturday: £20.74 per hour
    • Sunday: £21.88 per hour

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for flexible ad hoc, full‑time, and part‑time work in the Solihull area. This role offers a mix of store deliveries and trunking work, depending on shift start times. It is ideal for drivers seeking flexibility, additional shifts, or a varied workload.

    Shift Patterns & Work Details:

    • Start times between 02:00 and 19:00
    • Shifts typically 8–12 hours
    • Early starts (before 16:00): Primarily store deliveries
    • Later starts (after 16:00): Primarily trunking (with occasional last‑minute store deliveries)
    • 5–6 drops per shift
    • Deliveries consist of cages and pallets
    • All deliveries are bay deliveries (store or RDC)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations
    • Complete store deliveries and trunking runs as required
    • Conduct pre‑use vehicle checks and report defects
    • Accurately complete all paperwork and logbooks
    • Provide a professional and customer‑focused service

    Requirements:

    • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
    • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
    • 2 years experience required
    • Store delivery experience preferred
    • Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
    • Flexible and able to work at short notice
    • No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements)
