Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic to join our dynamic team in Stores. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse & record information accurately. This role requires a proactive approach to tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in all activities.
Main Objectives / Purpose of the Role:
- To receive, issue, and dispatch parts and products into and from the Stores' areas.
- To maintain organised and tidy areas so that parts are easily identified and located.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Receive goods into stores.
- Issue consumables to the shop floor.
- Kit parts for machine builds.
- Receive assemblies into stores and issue to new kits.
- Dispatch completed products / items.
- Ensure all stock has visible part and/or serial numbers.
- Complete material movement documentation.
- Organise the parts locations effectively to ensure that parts are easily located.
- Always maintain effective stock control and help ensure that Production & Design staff follow company procedures.
- Perform perpetual stock taking activities when required.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Deliver / collect parts as and when required (when main driver is not available).
- Perform other duties as assigned by stores supervisor and or manager.
Personal Characteristics & Skills:
- Computer Literate.
- Experience of working in an Engineering stores department.
- Experience of working with stock control / ERP systems.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Methodical.
- Organised.
- Work well within a team.
- Must have a clean driving licence and be able to drive van.
- Current counterbalance Forklift licence.
