The company are looking for a confident Mig & Tig welder to work in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
- Carrying out Tig & Mig welding process on Stainless steel to manufactured items and components.
- Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses to specs.
- Welding & joining materials into a wide range of structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Following engineering plans, drawings and instructions.
- Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment.
- Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments to standard requirements.
- Dismantling metal structures.
Quality Control
- Inspecting completed welds for defects such as cracks or inadequate fusion, and making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Check for products modification in line with Engineering department.
Equipment Maintenance
- Regularly cleaning tools, equipment and work areas using 5S method & House Keeping Rules.
- Regularly maintaining and inspecting welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety during operations.
Safety Compliance & Work Environment
- Following safety protocols, including wearing protective gear & maintaining a clean work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- The role requires working in various conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, and fumes, necessitating adherence to safety standards.
Experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tig & MIG welding techniques and familiarity with various metals and their properties.
- Completed Welding Certificate (NVQ level 3 / 4 or city & guilds) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in welding and adherence to specifications.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as required in the welding process.
- Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues or welding defects.
