We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Night Trunker Driver to join our client’s busy operation based in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The Role
- Working Sunday to Thursday nights, 1 trunk per shift.
- The role involves very little manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who prefer a straightforward driving and 1 drop position.
Shift Details
- Location: Cheltenham
- Start Time: 5:00 PM
- Shift Length: Approximately 8 hours
- Working Pattern: Sunday to Thursday nights
- Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour PAYE
- Immediate start available
- Temp to perm
Duties Include
- Completing trunk runs as required
- Dropping off returned trailers
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Following all site health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a professional and courteous approach at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Good understanding of drivers hours and working time regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a professional attitude
